E-Solutions Attract Attention August 26, 2013

Estonia's reputation as a leader in the development of e-government solutions has attracted the attention of countries around the globe.  This summer Defendec had an opportunity to meet with visiting delegations from the Republic of Namibia led by the Honorable Mrs. Pendukeni Iivula-Ithana, Minister of the Ministry of Home Affairs and Immigration, and separately with a delegation from Japan led by the Honorable Mr. Takuya Hirai, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee.
Both delegations visited Estonia to learn more about the country's success in building one of the world’s most advanced e-governments in less than 20 years of independence and to understand how the Estonian model can be applied to other countries.  Defendec’s Marketing Director Anneliis Aun and CEO Jaanus Tamm, respectively, used the opportunity to provide the delegations with a detailed overview of Defendec and to conduct a demonstration of Smartdec, the company’s electronic border guard system, for the dignitaries.
